- *New* LPCI English Handbook and Style Guide: This comprehensive document includes the following: The LPCI English Faculty Assessment Policy, The LPCI MLA Syle Guide, Academic Writing Guide and samples, Standard English Rubrics and Mark Tracking Sheet.
- Assessment Policy: The LPCI English Faculty Assessment Policy is based on the Ontario Ministry of Education's new Assessment Policy, Growing Success. The policy includes types of assessments, grade calculation, late and missed assignment rules, levels of achievement, etc.
- Exemplars: The PLCI English Faculty has compiled and produced a number of exemplars that show the characterists of student work at each of the four levels of achievement.
- LPCI Style Guide:The Faculty of English uses MLA citation and referencing methods. The style guide covers all referencing topics, including titles, quotations, works cited, general academic writing conventions, etc. Students should use this document whenever they are going to submit written work.
- Growing Success 2010: This link is to the Ontario Ministry of Education's web site. The Growing Success Policy is available for download in PDF format.
- English Curriculum Overview: This Ministry document gives a visual overview of the grades 9 -12 English curriculum. The chart breaks the curriculum into its four "strands"--writing, reading and literature, oral communication and media studies. It also breaks each strand down into specific skill areas.

- Course Outlines: These course syllabuses must be downloaded and printed by each student at the beginning of the school year. The units in the doccuments are adapted from the TDSB English curriculum course profiles.

- Grade 11 AWR3M/O - Grade 12 AWR4M - Standard Rubrics: These standard rubrics cover the four strands, the overall and specific curriculum expectations as well as the four achievement chart categories: thinking and inquiry, knowledge and understanding, communication and application. Not every line of a rubric is used on each assignment. Teachers will adjust the rubrics to accurately assess particular skills demonstrated in a particular assignment.
